Malvarez, without the trap of always and ever.

If ever you saw this fight, either by age or because they never repeat again, stay quite calm, there is a strong explanation for all this. The moon was unfortunate creature born in the second half of 1978 and the whole country was complicit in this forgetting. This could be one of the missing children sport. If we are ashamed to admit rediscover and, of course.

soon as the Italian referee Seryio did Gonella the final whistle sounded the final game of the 1978 World Cup between Argentina and Holland, in the Monumental de Nuñez that unforgettable evening of June 25 and Passarella Kempes, Argentine people are declared himself Champion world always and so is heavily involved in the streets to celebrate beginning to turn away, think also that always, to the infamous and prolonged era "moral champions" and their complex and hard working people but sad loser.

aunaba is the general mood that has concealment always resultadista one newspaper, to bury the feats and failures never fail to be statistical or monetary success, and that sometimes, the deeds are not recognized if you do not dress up and get the scent of only results that are confirmed: the triumph and commercial success.

Let me say that internally, such as Argentina, never felt comfortable with the stupidity of pulling this kind of gesture to M annual C bears that N F UNCA hey were (David Lebon dixit).

Because beyond my share of collective ingratitude I simply
was a feat, with all its noble literature and therefore we should keep on reminding , as . This is what they did recently in Trelew, upon the expiration of thirty years of that day, last year. And it's perfect, because the mature wisdom over the years and because the great boxer who was Juan Domingo The Mingo Malvarez absolutely deserve it, I think absolutely yes.

was one of the largest displays of technical style and class that have shaped the Argentine boxers in a fight outside the home, and for a world title. could parrot forever (even do I leave the article below) with strings of simplistic explanations of always reciting the statistical background always predicting what with predictability of the defensive shortcomings had champion always starting their fighting style and the slow start and the subsequent harshness ended with the showing Coloradito always , blah, blah, blah ... no sooner entered the heat of the fray. Because always was hardened (of course, there's no doubt) and knockout, as advertised on TV. Although never nobody dares a joke. How are you going to doubt what the TV tells you ...?

http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1096/lopezvmalvarez20003.jpg

But reality shows you what always had happened. It was not written at all. Show things that had happened before the race Danny Lopez but others not, and therefore carry a confirmatory sense and also the opposite. Because unlike the previous data , rarely in Lopez's career took a cazzo chance to do and there are differences in the background. And in fact nobody ever pretended to Coloradito López, either before or after, an embarrassment similar to the Mingo he put in that first round.

The reality is obvious and that is to say here " always" (which one often review the images in this battle) confirms that Malvarez Danny Lopez administered to a crash course in boxing in three minutes and won overwhelmingly in every one of the skirmishes and crosses they had. walked it as "never" I walked anyone. And yet, the images are repeated again and again, reflected in all its bitter dimension of "reality" that indicates that had it not been quite fortuitous hand, miraculously "saved" if you will, Lopez could not have won never in this fight.

The most eloquent evidence of the truth that is in this reckless statement (although it can not be considered reckless to 31 years after the events) are those that contribute the "Chava" Salvador Sanchez in February and June 1980, with the two sovereign beatings given him by Lopez "in the backyard" (Phoenix, TKO13) over and immediately (in the rematch in Las Vegas TKO14) the other. And that led to two separate man wins more accurate, more cerebral, more neat, in a relentless struggle that was defined not by the power of a single hand, which had shown very favorable to the U.S. given the duration of both fights, but by the progressive accumulation of an impressive and beneficial and immense wealth of punishment, which states in its favor the most accurate of the two, Mexican, and with the same arguments more technical solvency and style.

And Malvarez seems Sal or Sal Sánchez Sánchez Malvarez looks like in the ring.
there a hint of physical resemblance between the Mingo of Trelew and the biggest boom ever. Perhaps in the movements, or the height of both, or outreach or who knows where. But Sal Sanchez wins two fights to Coloradito without appeal, with huge beating and "what Malvarez." Hitting close, the distance that always can receive fuhh! that hand statistics, expected, known and that every great champion must be willing to take as your own risk its tough profession, and should hold up, does not matter. But in the (distance) that only very few times the lottery is drawn from hand surgery, which operates in the physical breaking point "any" and most unexpected.

Because anyone in boxing may be the victim of a perfect touch in the temple, chin, in the solar plexus or in the liver and there guapeza possible against that. Nor is there anyone who can only with trying, winning all his fights, even against vastly superior opponents, staging such shots ever .

I will lift from here, 31 years, arm Malvarez winner Mingo, señoressss applause! Of course, this humble consecration gives a fan, is forever.

Classic Window: Danny Lopez vs Juan Malvarez
By Lee Groves (November 15, 2005)

http://www.maxboxing.com/Groves/Groves112105.asp

During the course of history, a number of boxers have earned the nickname " TV fighters. " They come in all shapes, styles and sizes. For example Chuck Davey was a very fast left-hander, whose boxing skills and his winning streak did indefinite attractive to men, while his good looks and his university education made it attractive to the ladies. Puncher as Ralph "The Tiger" Jones and Bob Satterfield was the assured satisfaction of the crowd and others like Gaspar Ortega and Chico Vejar could be preferred or s when searching long and entertaining fights, which could show a greater number of commercials.

Some of them became really big - Sugar Ray Robinson, Carmen Basilio, Emile Griffith, Willie Pep, Kid Gavilan, Sandy Saddler and many others became boxing in one of the most popular sports in North America during the '50s and '60s. In the '70s and '80s, Roberto Duran, Carlos Zarate, Ray Mancini, Bobby Czyz, Frank "The Animal" Fletcher, Marvin Johnson and Matthew Saad Muhammad are listed among those who gave boxing many moments of excitement. In recent years fighters like Arturo Gatti, Micky Ward, Ray Oliveira, Kevin Pompey and Ricky Hatton have continued the tradition in a very dignified.

One of the largest "TV fighters" among them was Danny "The Coloradito" Lopez, whose fights often drifted proud melodramas, in which he always received punishment was restored in the first part of the fight and then unexpectedly, able to implement spectacular knockouts. Often entered the ring wearing colorful native costumes in honor of maternal inheritance, but his powerful style in the ring was pure Mexican, as was his father. His gentle manner, his humble personality appeared in sharp contrast to the ferocity that showed in the ring. In an era in which fights were regularly seen on ABC, NBC and CBS, the name of Lopez was tremendous assurance and soaring fights on.

The most conspicuous example of the legend of López occurred on September 15 1978, he defended his WBC featherweight title against Juan Malvarez, as preliminary fight in the rematch between Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks. More than 63,000 people packed the Superdome to see Ali became the first mortal to enter the achievement of having three world heavyweight titles. But while they awaited the main attraction, Lopez offered a memorable appetizer.

A 26 year old Lopez (37-3, 35 KOs) made his fourth defense of the WBC featherweight belt he had taken from David "Poison" Kotey in his homeland of Ghana. Lee enjoyed a successful 1978 in which he had received two six-round knockouts, one on Kotey February 15, on the undercard of Ali-Spinks I and the other on the Brazilian Jose De Paula on April 23. With 125 pounds and a half, Lopez wore the second lightest weight of his reign until then (as in the fight against Jose Torres of 13.09.1977 had registered only 125 lbs)

Malvarez (06/07/1943, 22 KOs) looked like a record in white, but the South Americans was already very familiar. The title shot against Lopez was the tenth Malvarez fight in 1978. The good news was that he was 8-0-1 to reach the fight with Lopez and the bad news was that a draw in 10 rounds with Ramon Reyes in San Juan, Argentina, had taken place only six weeks ago. Malvarez Not many thought could be "elected" to dethrone Lopez, but the defensive vulnerabilities "Coloradito" claimed that the Argentine would harp on that.

Malvarez, which was the lowest height, friendly power López was willing to give it to the race pace, nicely flowing in both directions while Lopez was going along and threw some jabs to control the distance. Malvarez was the first to break the action with a swift double hook and jab, the second of which landed in a violent manner. The Argentine exploited its speed advantage by throwing the jab and escurriéndosele before Lopez could even react. The challenger had found a comfortable pace while Lopez with his late start struggling to find the distance.

only thirty-seven seconds of having started the fight, Lopez's problems worsened. A combination of three hits-one live right, a left hook and a right to the ear-Lopez knocked on his right flank, triggering a wave of shock to the crowd. The "Coloradirto" that it had encountered many times before in the same situation, he resumed his composure as he sat on the count of two and directed his gaze to the other end of the ring. Lopez shook his head in disagreement while the Italian referee Marco Bertini he recited the mandatory count of eight, but if there's anyone qualified to handle a situation like that was López. Although it would be easy.

Malvarez you hit a hook to the jaw and another combination with a right hook seconds later. The Argentine knew he was not knocked out a boxer, so intelligently returned to the tactic of hit and leave, which had been before the fall. Lopez continued his task of moving towards Malvarez, but his volleys were staying halfway to a target is continually changing place.

Malvarez Lopez attempted to carry into the ropes, but the challenger got him a solid left hook and rotating clockwise, releasing the trap that proffered López. This placed a pretty decent straight right but Malvarez replied with a one-two left and right deep. Malvarez was having a dream first round, coming in and catching the champion accurately and continuously over and over again. Full of confidence, Malvarez threw a combined four shots, hitting the third-a left hook-violently. And then another combo of left and right hooks to the chin crashed Lopez and finally another hook more, scattered Lopez into the ropes. Lopez appeared at the mercy of Malvarez, but the Argentine resisted the temptation to go to the exchange with Lee, and stepped toward the center of the ring.

Leaning against the ropes, dodged a jab Malvarez Lopez and suddenly he slammed a combination of left hook and right cross that clearly rocked the champion. López obstinate returned to hunt the elusive rival Malvarez reaching a tenuous hook and right a bit better, while scurrying furtively Malvarez. The Argentine round ended better than maybe we have fought all his life a right-left-right to the jaw of Lopez.

"Try to stay closer to him" Benny Georgino told Lopez as she massaged a rage and put Vaseline on her face unmarked by his pupil. "Hide the chin because it's out to finish off."

Malvarez began the second round on his bicycle, seeking to duplicate its success from the first. Missed a left hook opening but the second of a double jab to the body became heavy. A right uppercut drew close to the face of Lopez, but the following left hook right cross combo with landed right on target and made the champion stumbled. The stadium roared Malvarez convinced that had all the attributes to specify a bump on one of the biggest stages in boxing.

The Argentine also seemed to be convinced, and jumped to consolidate that advantage. But Lopez took out a bombing at his bent and a straight right that chance did not hit the target. Malvarez returned to the attack a second time, missed a heavy hook and retracted again. The third time that the Argentine forward was released, Lopez had already prepared the answer.

"The Coloradito" brought a tremendous right hand that made Malvarez a step back. Malvarez recklessly again want to get involved, this time behind the right uppercut. After a gentle jab Tirale, Lopez topped with a single blow, shocking, perfectly timed as the shot of a howitzer who found Malvarez coming toward him and that he divorced his consciousness. The subsequent flurry of left-right was superfluous, since Malvarez collapsed to the canvas. The Argentine got down on his stomach, rubbing his nose repeatedly with Bertini gloves while ending the 10 count. Malvarez was on all fours on the mat and remain so for two full minutes.

"really I did not expect the starter and so quickly, "Lopez told Howard Cosell." Actually I was surprised when I pulled those two good combinations in the first round. I stayed calm and started to get my hands, putting a little higher to avoid it came to me and I could finally put him a good shot which was won "

The fight lasted only three minutes and forty-four seconds, Lopez lost them all but the last 10. That's why boxing - and the puncher and Danny "The Coloradito" López - were so successful on television. In this era of reality shows on TV, there is no sport that is more real than the sweet science.

Epilogue: Lopez returned to the ring only 37 days after Malvarez beat, winning a fight by disqualification in four rounds to Fel Clemente. Continued with three successful defenses before Roberto Castanon (KO 2), Mike Ayala (KO 15 in what was Ring Magazine's 1979 Fight of the Year) and Jose Caba (KO 3) before being dethroned by Salvador Sanchez (KO 13). After losing a rematch with Sanchez in 14 laps on June 21, 1980, Lopez retired from boxing at age 28 at the suggestion of his coach Benny Georgino. Lopez went to work for a number of construction companies and tested its experiendia in training other boxers. But nothing could compare to the thrill of a battle, was so at age 39, Lopez returned to the ring to see if it could. As was proved, could not, and the club fighter Jorge Rodriguez was stopped in two rounds, so the former stronghold of the rings had to retire for good. Although his eight title defenses stand favorably compared to others who have been exalted in the Hall of Fame International Boxing, the name of Lopez has yet to emerge in the voting.

Malvarez fought 36 times over the next five years, reaching a record of 04/05/1927 (16 KOs). Less than two months after fighting with Lopez, Malvarez Argentine won the featherweight title with an eleventh round knockout of Julio Alegre. Seven fights later, he won the South American featherweight belt another victim of Lopez, Jose DePaula. After another six victories, Malvarez reached the second chance of winning the world title against the WBA champion of the Eusebio Pedroza, but the great Panamanian was stopped in nine rounds. It was the last chance to get honors Malvarez World Cup, although he continued to defend their titles in Argentina and South America. Mario Miranda Malvarez stopped him on a continental title round WBC Latino featherweight category, Fernando Sosa tied after the June 4, 1982. In a rematch with Sosa, Malvarez lose Argentine featherweight title but finished his career with a victory by knockout in six rounds over former featherweight champion of the WBA, Sergio Victor Palma, June 4, 1983. The Malvarez record, according to Boxrec.com, finished 11.12.1970.
